Relevance of the project

Asian countries are coping with rapid growth and changes. Recent international crisis is associate with invasive forms of local development that is often chaotic, fragmented or dominated by global economy interests often irrespective of specific needs, peculiarities, culture and history. Cultural and natural resources, focal for prosperity of involved  countries, are enhanced in the project to promote a sustainable development, that is a worldwide need, by merging innovation and  technological initiatives, and original organizational models development, able to overcome gender and social differences issues and brain-drain.

The educational and training activity aims at addressing to this particular perspective in all the covered thematic fields. For this reason, the project education and training pathway is centred on educational activities dealing with sustainable development and technological transfer, as tools to guide or overcome social needs and to promote a less fragmented and global economy oriented local development.

The issues of transparency and equal access to the selection procedures have been carefully considered and guaranteed through the promotion activities and the establishment of planning and control bodies, such as the Partners Central coordination board, the Steering Committee and the Evaluation Committee.

The consortium starts from established bi and multilateral collaboration already existing among most of the partners and counts on a few associate partners networks-associations as tools for involving the wider community in a more effective cooperation  between EU and Asian countries.
